Mine did something similar to yours with the kangerooing/ missfires etc so went and bought the pressure sensor and wiring upgrade which I did and it cured the main issue ( starter was still gooosed though so got rid stupidly as could of been a good car!) anyway heres the tsb bulitin in my thread might be worth chcking the wires are in the correct place in the fuse box and correctly attached just to make sure its been wired up corrrdctly

Thanks! Mine has already been changed and car worked fine for 2 years with it. So I’m sure wiring is correct. Also I would get a sensor fault if cable was an issue, but I don’t. Do you remember your fault codes?

Could be the cables breaking down again you never know will depend how previosu person routed them and how warm theyve been getting in the engine bay and how severe any bends are, will have a butchers thogh the posts for them

Hey!

Nope...Next week going to the mechanic.... I've given up.

Did you solve yours?
No garage thinking it could be the ecu but I don’t have the money to throw at it for that so brought it back home tho I disconnected the fuel rail sensor and it didn’t cut out but was lacking in power so Ive got a new sensor and harness coming on Monday which I won’t get time to fit till Tuesday will update when I fit it

Changed they fuel rail sensor and harness and no change if not more blue smoke when light comes on around 2000/2500 rpm

the smoke could just be unburnt disel in the exhasut from repeated starting running attemps mine was ever so smokey till I took it for a good italian tune up

Yes...it was the high pressure fuel pump :(

Bought one remanufactured £180 Bosh approved. And 3 hour labour.

They checked the tank filter at the return pipe and it was full of brass... That's an indication of pump failure.
Thanks for getting back mine was also high pressure pump but the pump was going weak caused by old faulty injectors which where also replaced

The brass didn't come from the HP pump, as there's no brass in the Bosch CP1 pump. There is a phosphor bronze bush on the drive input, but I can't see how anything from that could get into the return lines. If material was to migrate from that bronze bush, it would end up in the sump, along with a good quantity of diesel.

I have exactly the same problems, done everything the same as @Dreamed including replacing the HP fuel pump, now it only triggers on long journeys after about 1 1/2 hours driving then once triggered easily re-triggered until left overnight...( something cooled down?)
Can't do 1 1/2hr trips just to trigger it, need to resolve it though..
Anyne else any other ideas? TIA
