Hi, just wondering peoples experience of fitting these ? My 90 just been rebuilt with Maer chassis and ultra bulkhead.
Got the pedal lock built up ready to fit, it can really only fit in one place with slight clearance .
lined it up side to side and have it on the floor with the flap up against the seatbox (no carpet fitted at the mo either) so it won't go any further back, try to flip it up to engage the lock and it fouls the brake and clutch pedal pads before the claw has closed around the vertical part of the pedal ? does it have to move the pedals to engage ? Any help much appreiciated.

Had one for yonks.
As I recall a bit of fettling was required for a good fit (and to make sure it sits flat when not in use) but when positioned correctly it is fine. As you can see I have no carpets and I did trim one edge (RH corner I recall) to prevent fowling but when done it is a neat installation. I may have also trimmed it near the bonnet release, can't remember.
When I first fitted it I disliked feeling the hinge under my foot so I removed it and it was another year (or two) before it went back on but I have learnt to live with it now.
Mine does press against the footbrake when locked.

For convenience it is the easiest thing in the world to use, no key to lock and you can have the pedals secured in a couple of seconds. Unlocking & unfolding is just a few seconds plus you have no bulky lock to handle & store, top marks for that.
Other locks may be stronger but there is the temptation to not use them every time you get out and a lock not being used is no lock at all.

Not difficult but fiddly getting it all lined up with carpet on the tunnel, bulkhead and seat box. Once I had got it to where it closed correctly and folded down to sit against the seat box I drilled the holes for the securing bolts to find they were just on the lip of where the floor pan secures to the body, thus needing to grind away a bit of the lip underneath so the washer and nut would fit on! I think the holes should be just in front of the lip but the carpet stuck to the seat box pushes the whole thing forward a few mm.
I also noticed during the trial fitting that when closed the bolt heads on the lock caught on the grooved metal lip below the dash (where the silly very short lived cardboard floor pan trim once slotted in) thus preventing it from opening. Loosened the lower dash screws and pulled out the slotted angled metal and made the angle more acute thus raising the lip; once back in the lock cleared the lip.
There is room for the rubber mat and it closes ok with it on. The only thing I think is different to what I've seen is to unlock it I have to push it in a little or the key won't turn; in vids I've seen it appears to spring open once the key is turned.
I haven't snapped off the security bolts yet and might replace them with nylocs bar one in case I ever need to take the floor out again. Even if the bolts are undone, the whole thing is wrapped around the brake pedal and the pedals will still be inaccessible.
An expensive addition but it adds to the layers of security and gives me more peace of mind Also a lot easier than the Disklok which I will continue to use, despite the hassle factor.

Many thanks for the input guys, really is only slight adjustment to be had, was just concerned as it is a new aftermarket bulkhead I've got, and wanted to make sure nothing to do with that. Looking at it the pedal box can't move much either though I think the quality of the bulkhead is pretty good so shouldn't be an issue.
Will drill a couple of holes and bolt it in and see, thanks again :)
