i once, when i was an apprentice, towed one full of fuel back to it's depot. We just turned off on the slip road and jack knifed on ice.
the tanker hit us and pushed us 100 yards up the slip.
I needed my brown trousers that night the tanker driver was as white as a sheet. No sign of primadonna at all.

Filled up last night 10pm and how about this for blind panic...

Queue was about 6 or 7 cars deep pushing and shoving and arguing for around 8 pumps. last place for a few miles that had any left after a busy day and only started serving from 10. Out of the corner of my eye spotted a remote HGV diesel pump.... four pumps in total actually not being used... I can't believe Joe public sometimes...panic does make you blind.

Did a drive by this morning past the four petrol stations in Ollerton and there was no queues so I went home grabbed my Rangie and headed out to fill up only to find out that the reason there is no queue is because there is no petrol The Shell garage says it expects more in this evening. Surely there must be a limit when everyone has run out of money to buy the stuff or space in their tanks to store it.
