Ok so i had the hot start issue last year and installed a hot fix timed relay box....sorted!
but the injector pump had started to leak been like it for about the same time but the guy in the garage said "there's not point in changing it as it's done 153'000 and gona croak soon anyway", well that was a year ago and it's still leaking! and running fine...
now when i shift in my 1997 2.5dt auto from drive to Rev it will drop to 500RPM and if i turn the steering wheel at the same time or i'm on an incline it will stall??? so is this just a fuel starvation issue?? made by the leaky pump or something else??
also, i have to park facing down the hill when i get home as if i park facing uphill it takes ages to start 12hours later!!! in tank pump do you think?? or again injector pump??
plus anyone got a spare one? that works! or can i get it recon'd?

i don't think it'll be your fuel pump leak. Could be partially blocked injectors. Might be worth trying a bottle of injector cleaner in 1/2 tank of fuel.

Poor starting on an incline indicates in-tank pump, just like the many on here that have had similar issues when 1/4 tank or less; try it with a full tank of weasel......bet that proves that one! D to R revs drop is excessive and prolly due to fuel too............good luck!

Hiya babe, have a look at fuse 39 in engine bay box. This fuse is for fuel pump relay, if it's blow your pump can't come on. 10 amp in early models 20 amp in later models. :):):)
