What a weekend, after replacing a tyre on my wifes car, I thought it would be prudent to fit two new tyre to the back of the Freelander. Unfortunately, the incorrect profile of tyres were fitted, a fault that I didn't notice until later that day, and the viscous coupling disintigrated itself.
Ok, let's drop the prop and viscous coupling and run on 2 wheel drive until I can resolve the issue, I thought, but unfortunately the output pinion was noisey and on removal it was knackered. Looks like I need a new IRD - not good.
Cap it all, the ABS was continually 'recharging' when I was driving home (making the fluttering noise) and I need advice to what the cause may be - any ideas?
All in all, not a good weekend!:(
