I thought you was swapping the whole housing over!! otherwise the questio about the bracket is a bit pointless int it???
yes, I'm swapping the whole diff and housing. but the filler is in the diff pan, which is effectively part of the axle casing.I thought you was swapping the whole housing over!! otherwise the questio about the bracket is a bit pointless int it???

Right....why dont you just swap the diff and not diffcase? then you will have the little winkie bracket on there still.........
If it was the rear one, I'd agree with yer, but the front one's such a pain to get in and out, I only want to do it once.be carefull about putting too much heat into the casting there its not too far from yer bearing, swap the diff over then rebuild the old diff with new bearings etc then swap it back then you will still have a spare diff ready to use
Ah had one fitted before, but when ah changed me axles ah forgot to put it back on. Accordin' to the catalogue, it's a 'track rod protection bracket' part # NRC9713. Ah suppose if yer doin' some pretty hard off road stuff then it'll be handyThanks for the replies.
Has anyone not got one fitted? Any problems wit it not being there?
