Hi All

Ive seen this Range Rover and Im thinking of buying it.

It has been stolen and recovered hence the broken windows.

Thus the car works/runs fine. It is a P reg and I can get it for £2800.

My question to you guys is first is it worth buying ? Im not sure how much it would cost to replace the windows and id be looking at getting parts from salvage yards etc.

If anyone knows how much it would cost to replace the windows please let me know.

Thanks

BARGAIN.

i just bought the two front windows for £50 off ebay, so even if you have to pay £50 each for the back three, plus £100 for the upper tailgate, thats only £250.

Does it have fire damage inside, looks like the rear headrest is wasted?

buy it anyway, cos it will be worth 3 times that in parts alone. as luck would have it, my rangie is the same colour so i might be in touch!! :D

Also noticed that there is quite a bit of panel damage, if I blow it up on my screen i can see it on the drivers door. Looks like every panel. If your having to replace the interior, sort out panels, replace glass and anything else that might have been damaged (it could have been ragged off road and have axle, chassis etc damage) - If you weigh all this up then take into account it is probably recorded as stolen recovered, the residual cost will be low and might not be worth spending all the time / cash on it. There are lots of nice conditioned P38's on the market at quite reasonable cash.

Have you seen it yet?

Given the rather extensive damage I'd say you could get one in good condition for about the same as you'll have to spend fixing it up, let alone the purchase price. Have you checked the prices of them recently - cheap as chips!

Unless you are a bodyshop and can do the work yourself I think you'll be shocked at how much it ends up costing you to get it fixed. A P38 is not something you can run on a shoestring - I know! lol

If you're breaking it for parts, you should be able to get your money back eventually. Personally I wouldn't buy it for anything else. I've bought cars cheap before thinking I'd be able to sort out problems cheaply - I've always regretted it!

Matt.
