Hi all.
I've recently been having a bit of bother with the ignition on my 2002 TD5. I have not studied or read up at all on the wiring system. The other day I managed to orchestrate a temporary fix with the help of some generous people on here, but today again I couldn't start and almost had a heart attack rushing to the dentist as I stupidly attempted to make it on foot!

I would love to have some material to do a deep dive to make sure that if there is something that I can do to solve the problem, that I have as much info at my fingertips.

I took the cover off the console under the steering wheel to solve last time. I presume that the solution is in there somewhere.

Hoping for some guidance. I'm new to the disco scene, but keen to look after my vehicle properly and make it last as long as pos. Only done about 110K miles so should be plenty left in the tank.

You need a copy of the RAVE manual, i hesitate to put a copy of a link up, as every time I do this it seems to be out of date.
Maybe someone else, like @sierrafery can help?
Best of luck!:):):)

Hi mate. Just wanted to let you know that the problem got solved. Simple case of a loose cable which needed re-connecting.
Thanks very much for your helpful predisposition!

Right so there was me thinking that it was sorted, but alas no it's not. I had a brief chat with a friendly mechanic today who told me it's most likely the starter motor. He said give it a knock with a hammer and see if that does anything.

Turns out the wire hunch may have been a red herring!

Now all I need to do is figure out where it is...

Any guidance would be helpful but will have a look at old threads for info.

Cheers!
