Help needed. Have 2001 plate, Defender TD5. Manual gear box. Engine won't start. Have had ECU tested, Ok. Replaced flywheel pick up and fuel injector loom. Cleaned up all the earth points and checked all fuses. Only thing left is the loom, which is full of engine oil. I am having trouble getting a non air con loom. Does anyone know of a supplier who can deliver the loom. Alternatively, can an air con loom be fitted to a non-air con engine.

Where is the loom full of oil? If its the red plug at the ecu you need to change the inector wirimg harness and clean out the red plug at the ecu. Google it as it is a common fault.
if not have you tried bump starting it. The starter motors faik on these and caise electrical noise that prevents the crank sensor picking up the flywheel and the injectors dont open so it wont start. Bump starting will allow it to start
