Depends on exactly what you need, but I'd imagine that your only bet for thick cable is halfords (which will be expensive or they just wont have what you want) or chop up some old jump leads (as long as they are high enough current rating).

Failing that youre gonna have to wait till the week and order some from aes or vehicle wiring products or eBay etc and get it delivered for next weekend.

Jump Leads, now there's a thought, I have four sets, this could work if I chop one of the better sets up, tyvm
 
how much do you need? ive got a 50mtr drum of 50mm2 and 75mm2, let me know exact lengths and i can even put crimps on the ends for you
 
i got some welding cable off flea bay for my winch, 300amp, £4 summat per metre and free postage, cheaper then getting it of the chap i get me welding consumables off.
