Wiper blades

I purchased a set of front wiper blades (metal frame/rubber blades) from Halfords some three months ago and both have disintegrated, the metal joints simply fell apart, that's £30 I'll never get back. So, any suggestions where I should purchase my next set, I see some on ebay for mere a £8, thanks.

Panick over, just found a set of Bosch at Eurocar parts, with their weekend discount promotion they came to £13.50 for two, happy camper.

Does that include the rear wiper?

I've been using AP aero wipers for years without a problem. I change them every year, just before the MOT, but they're cheap enough to change every 6 months if needed.

I thought one wiper was smaller than the other.

Usually replacement wipers are 'standard' thing that you fit then cut/trim to the appropriate length for each wiper.

There are a couple of options. You can have two 21" blades or a 22" can be fitted to the driver's side. However it makes almost no difference to the area swepped by the blade, so is a pointless addition. I use two 21" blades on mine and keep and old one in the boot, just in case one gets damaged.

I currently have 2 x 21 inches on mine. I bought a new pair when they were on offer and this pair is a 21 and a 22 inch.

I do notice with the 2 x 21 inches that it leaves some rain in the middle screen area after a sweep. I assume when I fit my new ones that won't happen.

There's a reduction in the small triangular unswept area at the top of the screen. I've used both 21" and 22" on the driver's side, but decided the small reduction in the unswept area, isn't worth the extra cost of the longer blade set.
