My 110 was stolen yesterday from Cradley Heath West Midlands sometime between 07.15-16.35. I'm gutted as I've only had it 3 weeks. It was locked and fitted with an immoboliser so not sure how they took it.

Welcome to Landyzone.:welcome2:
Sorry to hear of yet another landy going walk abouts.

What year was it?What additional security did you have fitted? Disckock, clutch claw etc?

If you have any pics of it then post em up so we know what to keep an eye out for.:)

Hi the pictures attached to my post and avatar are of my Landy the only security was the immobilser. 9 seater in the "boot" was an extra large dog cage brand new and in the second row of was a brand new child's car seat. It's also fitted with a webbco? heater.

I'm guessing given it was stolen in broad daylight on a fairly busy road - it wasn't taken by opportunists.

Many thanks for this.

I'm gutted I'd had my previous 90 for 13 years rarely locked it and only replaced it 3 weeks ago with the 110 as the engine had died in the 90 and it wasn't cost effective for me to get a new engine put in it.

Lesson to be learnt I think is don't look after your landy never clean it and allow the dogs to leave slobber on all of the windows then the buggers will leave it alone.

Im always suspicious of stolen motors just weeks after being bought.... would go to the sellers house, just to have a look around

Hi

Really sorry but I don't have a clue what type of immobiliser was fitter or the type of alarm! And given that it had an immobiliser I didn't have any additional security - theives must have been laughing at me as a religously checked all the doors were locked and the lights flashed as I set the alarm!

I really thought if it was fitted with an immobilser you couldn't start it! Had my 90 for 10+ years and only relied on the immobilser.

Sincerely believe that the sellers were not involved as they are local and specialise in Landys.

Sorry to hear about the loss.

If their specailists then a dodgy member of staff there could have got a second key coded off his own back quite easily and stolen it for himself...

If it was taken in broad daylight then the theives wouldn't have hi-ab'ed it onto a truck as that would be too obvious and it would have been reported, but walking up with a key, getting in and driving off... Nobody unfortunately would look twice.

Is it you that parks down by Cradley Print, well what was Cradley print?
It is well was - only parked there as I couldn't get my 90 under the barriers at the train station and had heard that cars were stolen quite regularly from the car park and the cameras were never on!

I've received a letter from the Police re my stolen landy

"unfortunately at this time there are no further lines of enquiry to enable us to identify the offender(s) and this incident has been filed pending us obtaining further evidence"

This letter was dated the day after I reported it stolen!

Says it all really!

If you had parked on yellow lines or been doing 35mph they would of been more helpful perhaps:rolleyes:

And there was me thinking that finally the police were starting to take note of the number of thefts and doing summit about it.

THe police make me mad when it comes to thefts like this.

We had a shed broken into and had a litter the next day saying the case was closed as there wasn't any evidence........ :(
