what year did the wing mirrors move from the wings to the doors??

no wat i mean is. im in process of getting a n reg 1974 i think series 3 and just wondered if wing mirrors should be on wings or the doors.

Some series 3 had them and some didnt, but by 1983 none of them were fitted with wing mirrors(I think 83 was the last year of production).

mil spec wont make a difference. you should have the mirrors in the wings to. Its likely a previous owner put door mirrors on... because they are much better for daily use. you cant see cack all in little series wing mirrors.

So thats why I have ally chequer plate covering the holes on the wings on mi '81.
