Hi dopey, how's the window problem going, any updates.

I found this, but clean it all out with IPA and air, brush etc, but no joy, thinking of getting a loom for it now, and a Station, anyone have a decent 2nd hand window loom???(with the 2 connectors coming out of the door)

Check wiring from door to Becm the wiring loom from door runs down inside the cars right hand side cover behind bonnet opening lever then runs along the floor,remove plastic trim on door sill and plastic trim around bottom of drivers seat this gives access to BECM terminals lift up drivers floor carpet and this exposes the wiring loom as it goes to the BECM there are 2.no black plastic clips that retain the wiring loom undo these now wiggle the harness wires with the ignition on(make sure you have removed the drivers door card first to expose the Drivers door out station etc)if you hear clicking noises coming from the out station on the drivers door try operating the window switch at this time if the widow operates you know you will have a either a bad BECM connection on the wiring loom or a broken wire. First clean the BECM connector plug and terminals if this cures it all is well if not you will have to check each wire from the plug for continuity with the door out station plugs. On a further point carefully split the rubber cover that protects the door wiring harness as it leaves the car as you open the door and check the wires individually for damage.
Best of Luck I have been there and resolve the same problem

Thanks for the update, nothing worse than electric's, hope you get it sorted mate, myself would go straight to door pillow that's my thinking.

I think he is going to try that next, its been ****ing down here, and he has a job as well, so his living comes first, and if he has time and not raining then me...

On the pillow cut the plastic sleeve gentle and just check that the wires have not got trapped or broken, other than that I'm also at a loss keep looking you will find the problem.

Yea brianp38dse will dot that, he knows what he's doing, he's just eliminating things but the station was making noises when you touched the connectors

Dopey, just had a thought, you say when you press the window down, up button you here a click ? We'll I had a car with one brake light brighter than the other after much faffing about I put a new earth on and it fixed it, may be you have power but ned to look at earth on window motor, hope this helps.

Dopey, Have you put this on a nanocom now to see if the windows are controllable? If it's not now in pieces I can pop over and test it for you

We have tried a known working switch pack, spare outstation and have been checking the wires for continuity, when you press the window button we get the beeps window not set which points to switch and becm ok,
There is a colour change in the door loom at the a post connector from red to yellow which is hard to follow as there are a few yellows in the door loom, we have yet to try diag as my rovacomlite is laptop run and the battery was flat, (wifes been using it again) work and the rain has hindered progress any suggestions will be gratefully welcomed.

glad its sorted, I do remember you tried a spare outstation, bad luck trying a duff unit, but all is good now then.

Yea that was like the 2nd thing he tested, so it then throws him off the track thinking its the wires
