hi all
can anyone tell me why the tailgate window goes down when i re- connect the battery on a 03 freelander ...is there a fault somewhere?????

Do a quick search or RTFM.

It's normal for the rear window to lower when the battery is reconnected , don't forget to recalibrate it.

I noticed mine did that when I disconnected my battery and put it back on, didnt know it had to be re calibrated though? how do you do that?

Turn ignition on and using the tailgate window button in the cabin raise the window up until it stops simple.

oh you mean close it lol

With my back window, when I press the down/open button, the window will open and stop at the position I take my finger off the button. When I press the up/close button though, it will stay closed if I close it completely, but if I take my finger off the button when its at any other position (eg 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 way up), it will turn round and go all the way down. Is this normal? It seams strange to me.
