window won't wind up!

Driver side front door window will only wind half the way up on my 98 D90.
It will go down and half way up but then gets stuck.

I started to take the door card off but got stuck halfway through. Whole thing is loose now but I can"t work out how to take off the window winder handle or the door lock push mechanism - these seem to be the only thing stopping the card coming off - can anyone tell me how to release these?

Also what am I likely to find causing the problem when I do get the card off and can anyone offer any advise on how to rectify - cheers all.

think its held on with a spring clip behind the winder

thanks - I could see the clip but how on earth do you remove it?

thin screwdriver or a tiny drift.
