just spent 3 bloody hours repairing the front drivers window .it was slipping round on the moter when nearing the top the teeth had worn due to those plastic wind deflectors .window was catching the bottom of it any way put some weld on the teeth then filed it down jobs a goodun but have the message coming up on the dash now when i switch ignition on drivers window .whats the way to clear this message please

If it says, "Window not set". Take it fully down then fully up. That should then bring up "Window set". Unless you have buggered something up.

well my welding on the teeth didnt last long took it all off again gona have to get our kid to do it with a tig or failing that get another one from somewhere my hobby mig just dont cut it for small bits

There a several unused teeth at the other end of the regulator, I cut those out as a section and welded it in place of the worn section, I then had to build up a couple of extra teeth which I did with Oxy-acetelyene.:)
Had to be done in a rush as it failed the day before we went on holiday, still got it as a spare, replaced it with a new one as soon as we got back from hols.;)

if i cant sort it i will get one from a breakers .i would think a new one would cost an arm and a leg

thanks for all that fixed it for now .works and no messages so all good just got the front wheel bearings on the series now .just seem to have a spanner in my hand all the time at the moment hey ho joys of landrover ownership
