winch

Hi y name is Jon and i am reay getting onto off roading. I have a 1974 series 3 swb and am trying to find out if you can fit a winch to it.
I would be glad of any advice anyone has.

YES. Keep your eyes open for old capstan winches and fairy drum winches on ebay. They can be PTO driven or driven from a drive dog on the bottom engine pulley. It is much easier to buy the complete set-up in one hit than to try and get all the bits individually.
