winch

just got me winch that i won on ebay. there are connectors on it but no wiring or instructions. i think its one o them chad cheapo jobs. its 12000lb rated. anyone got one o these and got the instructions fer it. piccies would be nice

i got a 8000lb winch (basicly the same winch) i will have a look tomorow

Just put a Warn sticker on it & make it look like something it ain't, it'll look nice on your motor.

there are 3 terminals on the top of the motor and what looks like an earth on the bottom

there aint any bling on mine mate, ffs i only bought this winch cos it were rusty,

here dunt go telling him that g string ol mate..

its me who the cnut will blaim when he cant make it work on his motta

the terminal on its own has a red marking, the other two close to each other are black and yellow. where does the solenoid fit then?

You've bin done, that's a landmine.

reet, ave just bin trawling tinternet and it seems its a bulldog 1200lb winch. looks like yer right g stringf. im missing the solenoid and control box. next stop fleabay

it might be worth getting a waterproof one make sure you get a good remote too (i need a new one i'm thinking about getting a taillift style one)

if you look at the winch at the end with the terminals.....
the terminal on the bottom is A (black)
the terminal at the back is B (red)
middle is C (yellow)
front is D (black)


I will type this exactly as it says....

1). short red cable (B) connecting to the red terminal (B) of the motor.
2). short black cable with yellow jacket (C) connecting to the yellow terminal (C) of the motor
3). short black cable with black jacket (D) connecting to the black terminal (D) of the motor.
4). Thin black cable (A) connecting to bottom terminal (A) of the motor.
5). Long black cable (1.8m), one terminal (A) connecting to the bottom terminal (A) of the motor, and the other terminal negative (-) connecting to negative (-) terminal of battery.
6). Long red cable positive (+) connecting to positive (+) terminal of battery.

nice one ratty but where do tother end o the wires go???

a) do you have the solonoid block?

b) is it pre-wired?

c) how do i bloody download piccies???
