winch

hi all does anyone have a good working winch , i am looking for a 12000 lbs one, and would ofcourse want the controls for it . its to pull a defender 90 so 12000 will be more than enough.

I've got one that I'm just rebuilding at the minute. It's a budget winch but now that I've reconditioned it it's working well again.

Looking for about 150 I reckon, includes winch cable, hook, fairlead, wander lead controller and solenoids but you'll have to sort out your own wiring.

Need to get a driveshaft for it yet though so its not quite ready yet!

12000 yeah, got a good condition steel rope mate. Will get pics when its back together.

What you recon to the price? Reasonable?

need to see pics first , but i am speaking to a good guy the now that has a warn xd9000i n hes going to sell it to me for 250 so we will need to wait n see buddy.

Sorry to hi-jack, but if Hutchie doesn't have the Winch, I might be interested dependant on Pics Mr Noisy...I found today that off roading on your own can be a scary thing without a winch to pull you out the poop! Thankfully I appear to have found some skill from somewhere and managed to get my muddy arse out the hole...

Yeah a winch is a valuable self recovery tool!

When sht gets really bad you might even want two, but one normally does the trick!

Yeah watch this space fellas, need to find the blummin time!!
