seens as i aint coming tomorrow i thought id wire me winch up.

just been under looking for a route to take the pos and neg wires, i cant seem to find a route that im happy with its either to close to the exsaust or chaffing on to many brackets.

what route have peeps taken there wires??

was thinking of drilling a 1" hole in the chassis under the batt box and one at the front near the dumb iron.

is it ok to drill holes into the chassis??

I took mine down under the rad, between me steering guard and over the axle and radius arm and over the chassis just under the bulkhead and up into the front of the battery box.

Dunt forget to put a cut off switch in line though as some tw*t will freespool it in a carpark guaranteed!

just fitted the the isolator key.
i wont be drilling chassis then :)

will spend a little more time trying to find a new route.

anyone put a inline fuse in??

It would have to be pretty hefty to cope with the ampage a winch can draw.

So in simplest terms - no. :)

you can still 'freespool' all the wire off regardless wether its connected or not.

Take the 35mm(2) cables along the top of the chassis leg, return the negative to the battery. Put a cut out switch in the cab, on the battery box. leave the fuse, not needed.

spose i might aswell put it in seen as ive got it??
