I have a warn xd 9000 wires off the battery to a kill switch then to the winch.

I've been wanting to do a winch challenge so thought I'd have a practie at rothwell pay and pay, went to a mud hole that no one had add it through. Tied the winch on to a tree at the far side an set off driving and winching in. Got through and half way up the hill, stoppe winching to sort the winch line out and attach to a different tree. Then all of a Sudden the winch started winching in and wouldnt stop, so hit the kil switch and took the key out, still did not stop?

I think it's melted the switch which is not even 2 moths old and the solinoid is the same only 2 months old, I gona ring where I bought them from and see what they say,

Think I'm going to put kill switch on the ground just incase.

Whacked the solioid until it stopped was really dangerous and in gona have words with the winch shop tomorrow.

How many amps will it draw at full power? Think it's 4.6hp and is 12v warns website says 460 amps at 9000lb think my switch is 500amp and 600amp sort periods, I'll dig the box out I think it's behind my seat.
