problems with the winch now ,its a prime tech i believe(half the name sticker missing) anyhow , when you press the in or out buttons on the remote in the cab , it just makes a clicking noise , i have cleaned all the connections , tried to jump it from another battery too , all failed. There is a handle on the side with the options of in-clutch-out but the handle is screwed , just doesnt do anthing but does that matter ? the noise is coming from the two barrel shaped motors under the box cover, it sounds like a starter motor thats stuck when you hit the celonoid thing with a hammer to free it off, any ideas guys

Or motor is jammed full of rust & mud. Mine sat in a shed for a year before I got it, give it a good clean

so if its the motor & if they are servicable what should i use on it , also where do you buy solenoids & regards the handle on the other end which is just loose , after removing it there is a little nipple on the bottom that has broken off so thats prob why that just turns & has no effect

but goodwinch do some good motors that fit a lot of different winches

Thanks guys , ill spend a bit more time on it on monday then if still no good , ill bin it for what they cost looking on the link above
cheers :)

Don't forget a winch is like a starter motor, it just goes in both directions. I took mine to a local bloke that repairs starter motors. It was shorting out on one of the coils

ok mate thats one option more than i had ,This 90 has done some real deep mud plugin so the motors probably caked up
