Was using my superwinch tiger shark 9500 yesterday off roading no problems at all, so today after cleaning the truck I thought I best spoil the cable back tidy. So free spoiled it out and then hit the button to spoil back in heard a click and motor kick in for about 2 seconds then went dead. Now every time I click the in or out on the the remote all I hear is a click sound like the motor should kick in but nothing, there is no inline fuse I can see so not sure if motor is burnt out or something else is a miss.

Just went out and again worked for a couple seconds and then trips out?

sounds like the contactor isnt actually contacting, i have the same winch and after a couple of years of use its now doing the same thing , only the odd one so far but im going to strip down the housing round the contactor this weekend and give it all a bloody good cleaning out.

in my mind if it was the motor it would either work or not work, my money is on the contactor, i have a new albrite one somewhere kicking about so if its beyond cleaning then i will just replace the contactor, they arent that pricey to buy so if it does need a fresh one its not the the end of the world.

when you strip of the top of the switch pack you will see it is an albrite copy contactor in there already so replacing with like for like will be easy.

let me know how you get one bud.

Mine did this and it was the motor fullnof mud.

They tapping the solanoide with a hammer whilst winching of it starts the the solanoide is the problem alternatively use a multimeter and test it all
