Having just picked up a pair of husky winches for a bargain price (both were listed as spares or repair) I need reminding how to test the motors please. I am currently not bothered about the solenoids etc that came with them as need to start more basic than that. I know the earth is the bolt on the bottom of the motor. And I have vague memories from when I did this last time of hooking up the positive to one of the terminals and then bridging it to another with a large screwdriver to test it?
There are three posts on the top of the motor colour coded and pictured below, red, yellow, and blue. My test battery is currently very very flat so first things is to charge that up. And I know one of them is 24volt so also need to work out how to get a second battery into the system without doing any harm (ie not one fitted to a vehicle)

Followed this video and the 12v winch does turn in both directions but does not sound exactly happy. But now I know it does try. I will strip the gearboxes and inspect and lubricate properly. I have done this before when I fitted the husky to the 110 but that was about 10 years ago now! So prepare for lots more questions. Now I just need to find a winch bumper the same as the one on the 110!

I've got one of these spare if you are interestred ...
I replaced it with a Bowmotor 2+ and send it back to Goodwinch to be checked out etc.

I also have a new remote control for a winch which I never fitted.

I would potentially be interested depending on price. Does the bow motor fit a husky I know little else does as they are fairy unique. I am struggling to find a standard roller failed to fit (I know you can get the Ali ones from good winch). And am on the hunt for a s/h bumper for it as I really resent paying nearly £600 for a new one.
I am also struggling to get the other parts needed to refurb properly like some of the plastic covers. It seems superwich basically no longer exist in the uk.

Price = £150 (inc delivery)
Fit = That I can't tell you ... drop an eMail to Goodwinch with your winch details, they will know for sure.
Many thanks as long as it fits I will have those from you. I will contact goodwinch. I will also do some more research as I have vague memories from rebuilding my first one that there is a groove for a circlip on the end of the motor that makes them unique but some carful measuring and work with a Dremel can replicate the groove on a standard motor.
