Winch bumper with air con

FIRST OFF, I HAVE SEARCHED, but cannot find a clear answer.

I am looking to fit a winch and bumper, but just want to check if there are any issues with the air con on my Disco 1 300TDI. Are all the winch bumpers a universal fit, or do I need a specific one.

the winch bumper for aircon sticks out abit further if its not got aircon you can get a more flush fit winch bumper,winch sits behind grill if no aircon..

Basically, there is a second hand bumper for sale, which I think is from a non-aircon Disco. As long as the actual bumper fits the truck still, I can probably modify it to take the winch. I take it the bumper can still be mounted, aircon or not?

not sure mate but the winch wont fit unless you do away with the aircon radiater,i am not 100 per cent sure,i fitted one on my last disco non aircon and the winch bolts on in the space behind grill infront of radiater,prob aswell flinging the aircon anyway its never that hot here anyway lol and it just eats up fuel

I don't want to do away with it really, it is a luxury, but is handy in the (short) summer. The trouble is the truck is so tidy, its a shame to rip it out.......I only wanted a winch bumper for clearance etc, but I dont really need a winch if I'm honest........was just going to fit one if I had the bumper, and if one come along cheap..........I only do greenlaning, and the disco is too good to trash at the playpits, so I probably wont bother with the winch, as I dont want it sticking out the front too far.

Like a Tirfor? Never seen one used on a vehicle (for pulling a vehicle out), only elctric, how good are they, whats the best way to set them up?
