Winch bumper with a pto winch

Hello all. How is everyone this evening? New to here so don't go mad if the is a thread already About this. I've looked but can't find. I have a pto winch on my 110 300tdi. But the bumper is a but scabby so I want another. My querie is, will your bog standard eBay tubular winch bumper work with a pto winch? Even if I have to chop a small opening out for the shaft that is not a problem. Hopefully somebody else has been here and can advise. Cheers in advance.

Could you get the old bumper sand blasted and powder coated/painted?

Or dipped and painted/or galvanised.

I have had s few LR and non LR bits done now and they have come out nice!

I quite like the look of those tubular bumpers. Not really keen on the one that's on.

If its a superwinch I would galv the original as the earlier fairey versions were galved and literally last forever and are seriously strong, drive into hard things, get hit by cars. hit cars not a problem bumper still good and straight, cant say the same for the other cars!
I would hazard a guess superwinch went for paint over galv for cost reasons only.
