Hi all,

Managed to pick myself up a winch bumper, so going to be playing around with it, adding a bull bar and light guards etc to it - basically merging it with my existing wrap around bull bar...

But it has two slots on the front for the winch, and just wondered why it has the smaller slot at the top?

Any ideas - just this winch lark is a complete new venture to me....

Nah, not those holes - sorry might not have explained correctly.

Its the slot above where the winch rope would come out from...have circled it in yellow...

Good answers guys - like I say - I am a newbie when it comes to winches  so just trying to gain a bit more knowledge, as someone is bound to ask me when I have it fitted, and would be nice to give a 'correct' answer.

Just got to find some money to buy a winch

if you put a roller fairlead on, it'd probaly blank off the other hole.
then there'll be no awkward questions.

or buy a metal plate with the words "affix shogun here":D

I think that's the hole to see how are you pulling in your winch cable or rope. Sometimes with bull bar and spotlights is hard to see how are you going with it, so there's a hole above the roller or hawse fairlead.
