Wiltshire

Hi is there any one around wiltshire that would come and meet me and let me try there air mass meter to check to make sure mine is dead instead of spending £1000 on a new one from
land rover which might not be the problem. I have a 1995 p38 4.6 v8.

Wiltshire is a county in the south west near Bristol. Have tried unpluging it and it make no difference at all. Have taken it to the local land rover garage and they are
quite sure that this is the problem I just don't want to spend all that money and find out it's not what's wrong.

Why have you taken a South West county to your dealer? Or is that a Landrover County?

You could PM eightinavee, who is a V8 guru down your way, not Wiltshire, but closer that Rotherham.

£1000 for a MAF?

P38Spares.co.uk is selling genuine ones for a lot less than that. That's where I got mine from anyway.

A decent garage should be able to tell you definitively whether it is the MAF or not though! Doesn't sound like yours is too sure!

When mine went, the chap gave me all the readings from it to justify his diagnosis.
