Just fitted a Disco 200tdi in me Defender today and as you know a conversion down pipe is needed.

Its all nicely fitted and in place, however i forgot to move the clutch pipe to the slave cylinder over a bit away from the down pipe.

Its about an inch away from the clutch pipe.

If left would this cause enough heat to effect the clutch pipe or am i just dreaming up problems that dont exist?

If it is a problem would a heat sheild be enough as its now realy tight to get the grinder down to cut the pipe bracket off! :(

Cheers buckshot that put me mind at rest!

Cant wait to get all the pipes connected up and wiring done so i can fire it up for the first time!

Cheers mate :)

Yes i put it on whilst the engine was out, Was a real pig to get the 3 old nuts holding the old downpipe on tho!

Finnished up chopping the nuts in half with the grinder! That sorted the little buggers ha!
