Good evening everyone.

The clutch on my Discovery 2 1999 has failed- about a year ago I had a Roadspec LOF clutch fitted, by a garage and ever since then it has been slipping when I really put my foot down.

Now it has completely stopped working, put the clutch down, nothing happens but grinding when I try to put it in gear.

Now I know for a fact that the slave cylinder has been changed when I had the new clutch fitted, but the master cylinder wasn't changed.

The fluid is black, presuming that the master has failed.

I will nevertheless change both slave and master cylinder at the same time, but is it also worth changing the brake reservoir at the same time, or is this unnecessary?

What fluid does everyone suggest?

Thanks all!

Thanks Sierra,

Might sound like a dumb question, but I took the pipe off the back of the slave cylinder expecting the reservoir to empty but it's still full...

Is there a drain plug that I'm missing somewhere?

Thank you!
