After forking out extortionate amount of money for a double cardon front prop from Scorpion it has decided to wear out after just 10k miles. has been very regularly greased and hasnt had a beating off road. a 3 UJ type should last for ages as it reduces the angle strain on the UJs, even my original one did more miles with the 2 inch lift plus the 100k before that
Has anyone fitted a TD5 front prop shaft to a 300 manual??? the td5 ones are the double cardon/3 UJ type but are they the right length???
Hardy Spicer make td5 props that are much chaper than anyone else so wil go with one of theirs if itll fit.
I wouldnt recommend buying anything from Scorpion as its completely overpriced and is actually not the best quality..... very poor finishes on the bumpers and other metalwork from them, prop shaft worn out when it should outlast the truck and adjustable panhard rod rose joint had massive play in it after 5k miles.....oh and the props are non servicable apparently - they probably just wont sell UJ bearing replacements (the hollow spider type)
