Will repainting a Defender a new colour de-value it?

I'm looking to rebuild a 110 at some point in the coming months. Hopefully put it on a Galvanised chassis, replace brake pipes, clutch, timing belt, bushes, yada, yada, yada.

It's currently in bits and it's painted Epsom green, the original colour but will need resprayed. I've been toying with the idea of painting it Atlantic green with a white roof, entirely keswick green or even painting it a bespoke dark green similar to the picture below.

Now, my question is, is painting it something other than the original colur going to mean it might be worth less than had I kept it epsom green, if or when I come to sell it later on down the line?

Ask yourself, would i buy that car with a dodgy paint job, or the other one thats original ?

OK, Let me quantify my response, It must be a good quality paint job. A change in colour itself I cannot see affecting the price. A brush and hammerite job is not going to be good.

Cheers

I personally cannot see it making a difference in price.

Is that the Queens Landy you have a picture of?

Cheers
It is yes, it came from this article - http://www.pistonheads.com/features/ph-features/driving-the-queens-v8-land-rover/25797. Quite a few good pictures of it in there. I saw pictures of it years ago and thought it was one of the best looking Defenders I'd seen. I always loved the idea of the steel wheels painted to match the bodywork but I'm not sure how that would look with epsom green, can't quite visualise metallic paint on steel wheels.

That's a fair point however I should have mentioned I wasn't intending to do the painting myself, I would have a professional do it, so hopefully not too dodgy.
