Wilkinsons oil

I am looking at dooing an oil change on 300 tdi......
Wilkinsons are doing a 15W 40 Mineral oil for diesels at around £12.00 for 5 litres.
Any opinions?

In my opinion, you will need 2.

Apart from getting more lol at Storm, it should be reet for the put put diseasel...

get what you pay for, i would rather pay out a bit more and get better

Saving £500 on not having to replace the engine seems better value than saving £30 on oil to me....

totally agree,i'm using wilkos finest and change every 3months regardless

still using the good ole tractor universal, if it's good enough for a £50k Fendt it's good enough for my old bus

I'm never letting you two change the oil on any engine I've built if that's your attitude!

I agree with changing it regularly, but all oils are not equal!

Ok, so if it's 15W 40 Mineral with DIESEL on the can that's not enough info?

Shell rotelia T is one of the best diesel oils made 15w40 can not go wrong.
Halfords carry it

Always used jcb fleet oil in me motors, but now I work somewhere else and have to actually buy oil! Shame, can't see Wilkinson oil being that bad, sure some one posted a guide to oil specs very recently

Obviously Wilko dont make oil so it will be something else in their own bottle. Shouldnt do any harm in a Tdi

I get mine from Costco, Chevron 15w40 Semi - 20L barrel for about £40.

So is semi best or mineral?

If a semi is all you can get the you'll just have to make do

The Range sell Lucas oils,around 15 quid for 5 litres
