Went shopping Saturday  , Sunday, went to get tyre depth guage out of the Disco & the key fob didn't work. Had to unlock with the key!!
OK, my battery was 7 yrs old (orignal fit), so got a new battery ( £130.00 + vat)!!! OW!!!
Fitted new battery pm, went to start (am), battery totally dead.
We have a local auto-electician - who is bl**dy good,
Called him & he came out on Monday.
His guages said I had a 10 amp discharge.
We pullled every fuse & relay to no avail.
Finally, we disconnected the alternator wire @ the under-bonnet fuse box ( battery disconnected) .
Suddenly the battery drain dissappeared..
Neither He or I know wtfiigo
but I hope this helps someone else

SOUNDS LIKE THE ALTERNATOR on the blink my friend its usually the diode pack when you get a discharge like, that its usually the first thing i check, found out by bitter experience ower the years, can you get a cheap partex maybee best o luck mate dave

just a thought mate have tried connecting everthing up and just unpluging the alternator from the back and seeing if the discharge disapears rvery thing else connected its worth a try whatever you do dont start the engine cos if the alternator is ok youl knackn it starting the engine with it not connected if its ok dave

Thanks for the reply Dave, however the problem has gone away for the moment. It's like a relay was stuck or something, neither myself or the auto-elec guy can work it out.
When started on tick-over the alternator was charging @ 35 amps - yeah, the battery was flat. It's been 2 days now & battery is still fully charged, so I hope the glitch won't reappear.
