sounds dodgy to me if its tax free for any reason other than age generally it cos owner disabled or registared as agricutural vehicle etc and non transferable seller must be wanting to pull some dodge of otherI thought if it where disabled it would not be carried forward any ideas folks

Me bus was a disabled tax class anaw. All ah did was go down tae Carlisle, fill in some papers, hand over me money and got a new plg tax disc there and thenif its tax free for disabled or any other purpose it means at trip to your local dvla office
my disco was disabled class tax exempt an i couldn;t tax it at the local post office an had to go to nottingham to tax it, i was told it would be 4-6 weeks to tax it by post
only good thing was they don't charge anything to change the tax band

when i had to go to notts it was a case of take a ticket a bit like you used to do at the supermarket an wait for your number to be called, then get the paperwork to fill in an take another fookin ticket an wait again, then after neally 2 fookin bastid hours FINALLY! walked out with a nice new tax disc an no paperwork, which came back with the WRONG info on it so then had to take the paperwerk back an wait another three weeks to get my logbook piece of piiss
and if you all read some more it says tax disc expires in january , MOT ends 2009
