Hi

I am hoping someone can help me, I am trying to sell (regrettably) my Defender 110 300tdi hardtop which is in immaculate condition and for its age has low mileage. The chassis is solid as is the bulkhead and the condition of the engine is excellent and so is the bodywork, interior etc! She really is stunning.

My problem is I cannot sell her! I have had her on ebay for a week and just had to re list her through no real interest or buyers! Starting bid is at £4300.

I have also advertised her on this forum for £4800ono.

Am I asking too much? Is my advert c**p? Do people not want to buy an already "sorted" landrover and would rather buy a heap of s**t and fix it all up themselves? I don't get it?

Please help me!

I really am sad to be having to sell her however I have got a kid due in 5 weeks and no means of transport for it (2 seater) and also start a new job in 2 weeks and have a longer commute therefore need a more economical and suitable car for this commute.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Shes on an M plate, you think its too much do you?
I have looked about at lesser vehicles for sale and they are selling for the same price?
you think start her off low with a reserve will get people bidding?

Well for now until I can save up for one as a second vehicle. It sucks but need to keep a roof over our heads! Wish I had enough £££ to buy a second car to commute and keep the landy for a weekend bit of fun. Problem is she's in too good nick for using as a toy! lol

Gutting huh! my life will be empty without a landy (how sad am I!!!)

Its much smarter than that 90 with a lot more kit and a massive service history despite its higher mileage.

Have a look at the ebay item number above, you can see her and all work shes had then let me know what you think about price?

Put a link to ebay and will look ,other wise I don't do ebay:)

I did think to get some mates to bid it up but the problem then is if no1 else bids I have to pay the fee for selling the vehicle although I actually haven't if you know what I mean!

I have added a buy it now for £4800, there are loads of people watching it (again) so not sure if dropping the starting bid will make a difference as they'll prob know what I am up to?

Is this just a case of our rip off country and no1 has any money anymore?

If you & the buyer agree not to proceed with sale. Ebay lets you relist for free.. :D

Fook em If they wanted it they'd have put a bid on it by now.
