Yer not usin the bosch one without a modification are yer?
The original pierburg MAF has an air temp sensor incorporated !

Also avoid the ****e cheapo stuff off Fleabay !

mondo, I think you might have got it the wrong way round the bosch is the original with the air temp sensor incorporated and the pierburg does not.

you can use the pierburg MAF with Rover rons tuning box.

Hi , the only thing the Maf does on an L-Series diesel is control the ERG , it performs no other function !. Better off blocking erg anyway , plenty on site re this , Just do a search .

cheers for that guy but might be waste of time now anyhow, took it on a run again last night and the temp went upto the red and beyond.

so pulled over released the cap slowlyand let pressure out, bottle was empty?????

no water in oil

so drove it about 5 miles more temp stayed half way????

parked it for the night hag enough at this point

topped it up this morn and took about 1.5L went out and did 25 mile run and temp stayed half way

think i will be going down the swan vesta route soon :D joke

will still plod along for a little while

unless anyone has a buggered 5 door freelander in silver for sale any year upto 2001 (to beat tax)

Hi Bandit

I've got the '99 L-series diesel and I blocked of the EGR.
I think that's your best bet seeing that thats the only thing the MAF controlls get rid of it. :D
