Brilliant investigatory work Kev, much apreesh. Will get about filling it with something.Actually if memory serves it looks like the mk1 Rover 800, which would also make sense with it being in a Lotus I guess
Has to be worth another 20bhp!Google shows it to be from a Lotus Elan?!
Maybe but I think Land Rovers are unreliable enough without taking attributes from a LotusHas to be worth another 20bhp!
That is actually quite neat.Perhaps distracted by the fact that the housing had no filter in it - I also forgot to mention that there is nothing attached at the intake end. Should there be?
Housing is squeezed in here above by the wheel arch.
Agreed, quite space savvy. Jealous of the tool box though, mine are currently stuffed anywhere and everywhere. So any concerns regarding the lack of attachment on the intake? Or ok to just leave it pulling in air from there? That is actually quite neat.
I have my toolbox int he same space.
I cannot see it getting air from there being an issue, you will soon know when you next check the filter by how dirty it is.Agreed, quite space savvy. Thanks Lynall! Lastly - any advice for someone who’s been driving without an air filter for the last 4 months. A friend of mine…I cannot see it getting air from there being an issue, you will soon know when you next check the filter by how dirty it is.
