I think my Disco is getting a bit long in the tooth with 187,000 miles (300,000 km) on the original engine and drive train.

How much longer can I expect 'er to survive?

is ur disco like triggers brush = He then proudly stand next to his disco and claims "Maintained it for 20 years. This old discos had 17 new heads and 14 new props !!!!

lmao

its had a good run !! long live the disco

I only just got this Disco, and its just done a head gasket (after only 3 serious off road forays

is this a common problem ?? am on my 2nd:mad: disco now and only done 2 pay and play days, will i need lots more yet ??

Mine has done 184,000 now and i hope its got a bit of life left in it.
It leaks oil and is a little "loose" to drive, but it seems fine apart from that!
I only got it yesterday so only time will tell what other issues it has!!!! haha

i have a 1989 disco that i have had for the last 4 years. It has got 190,000 on it and it has not missed a beat. I have been out of the country for the last 12 months but come home every 3 months and everytime i go to the disco it starts on the first turn of the key. I have kitted it out for off roading and really give it some stick when i go out in it, i have only had to replace the rear floor in all the time i have had the vehicle. I will see how it goes at peterborough, i am expecting the worse as it has been laid up really for the last 12 months. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

bought a 200tdi disco had 220876 mls on the clock enjun run and pulled that well im keepin it forra spare unlike the rest of it which is probably tin canned shape now:D

My 300tdi is on 221500 and runs like a clock.
Getting harder to start, changed the glow plugs and heater relay but still hard to start from cold. Doesn't burn oil and does 30+ mpg.

Just weld it up every year for MOT and keep going.

My boy's an MOT tester. He had one in for test a few months back with 287,000 on the clock. It ran as sweet as a nut and flew through the emissions test.
Failed miserably though due to terminal tin worm.

Mine has basically no rust - maybe it was garaged when it was young? Not any more though.

But come on fellas - back to the original question - does anyone have any more miles than 230,000 (which I think is the record here so far?)

Am i winning?
10 months mot, No Floor and plenty of oil loss ( mostly on the new drive:mad: )
