thats a very good point. A mate of mine a superhcarged RR sport & try as he might could not get any more
than 8mpg!!! he sold it & bought a TD6 & now gets a massive 20mpg!

The WRX is bloody crap if you give it anything other than a tickle at around 18-22 mpg

The RRC is always around 17-20mpg & the HSE is anywhere from 15 - 25mpg & yes i really have had that
figure out of it. N ormally you can watch the gauge go down, but on a nice steady flat run it isnt bad at
all!! I might sell the WRX as i never use it anymore!

When I were a lad I averaged 25mpg in a 1983 3.5 manual carbed RRC Towing a
well loaded 2 Berth Caravan Plus two big doggies as passengers, which I was
well impressed with, especially as I'd anticipated less van 14mpg. It's a
big difference between clutching it round town and tootling down dual
carriageways and motorways.

managed to blag a go in the RR sport at Towcester last year that some
local garage had brought down as a demo, the computer told me I was
getting less than 2mpg when I booted it on the towcester bypass....
