Whining steering ?

My 08 Freelander 2 has done 45k and just been serviced by a main agent a couple of weeks ago. It has just started giving of a noticable whine when pulling away particularly if making a turn. It's still under warranty so hopefully won't cost for the problem to be sorted. There appears to be no loss of fluid from the reservoir but I haven't looked any further than that. Is it the power steering pump or belts ? Or has anybody got any other suggestions

get it back as soon as poss, it needs new pump, steering rack and resevoir, crap in the system which lr are all too aware of.
