On way home from work pulled at set off lights noticed a constant whurring noise
long 3sec then 1secbreak then 3seconds again

-doesnt make a difference if clutch is in or if its in neautral

- the noise stops when accelerating

-the noise is a different pitch and louder when deaccelerating and on corners

-seems around gearbox /trans area

Think im going to change oil in the boxs see if thats it lol

. From listening to your vid I think it sounds to me like a baring grinding, could it be your alternator baring. to check take belt off and start engine

That is probably just the bearing in the belt tensioner pulley, my own was making the same noise an stopped when i replaced the bearing

Been told to take belt off and check the water pump ?

Well yes they also make noises similar to yours and certainly worth a check, difficult to be certain where your noise is actually coming from not having car in front of me, but weighing up the evidence and the video sound I would as said go for a warn bearing either on the alternator/power steering pump/ water pump or possibly timing belt petitioner pulley.

Which is worse ? Lol or hardest one ? Been told waterpumps easy but gona take the belt off tomoz and see what i can hear an difference

Water pump is the more common problem bearing, alternator you change the whole thing just mater of couple of fixing bolts then semi deep pocket, timing belt pretensioner if that’s the problem I would be inclined to get timing belt kit and do the whole job, get a good kit or you will be back here again. Power steering pump unlikely but a possible, whole unit again. Just had another thought the viscose fan bearing can also fail, so before removing belt might be worth giving the fan bearing a squirt of WD and see if your sound changes, be careful not to get oil on the belt,

Fan belt tensioner?
Air con pump?
Air con fan belt tensioner?

Only way to tell is to remove the belts and try spinning the devices one by one, or use a mic/screwdriver to listen to each one.

Well it doesnt have the aircon or aircon belt anymore
ive took the belt off and cant hear any noise ?

Is the pull on the tentioner allowed to have play as in like a float or sumet
in and out play ill upload another vid

^^^ thank you for confirming that ive read that u can just replace the bearings in it so gona give that one a try
