Hi guys,

When I got Mr. Trouble back in march I fitted some ****ty aftermarket blades just to pass the MOT. A few months ago one popped off the arm and scratched my window something fierce - basically they is naff as ####.

Anyone got suggestions for decent replacements? Points of for unusualness :).

Will.

I've got valeo flat aero on mine, there really good.....even in the mud. :)

Hi Will,

I have exactly the Bosch ones in your link.

They are brilliant - softer than other brands of flat blade - but harder wearing.

I've had the present set on for well over 2 years - I bought another identical set in November ready for when these need replacement - but they are standing up very well - no smears or missed bits at all.

They can't jam with ice or snow in the winter. :D

They deflect flies and light drizzle up over the roof - so the screen stays clear longer. :D

I fitted a cheaper brand on my Sprinter and they look the same - but haven't lasted so long.

I don't like the quoted price for the Bosch though. :(

Shop around - there are plenty other on-line suppliers.

Even ECP (with a club discount of at least 25%) should be cheaper.

SV.

Always used the Halfrauds ones as they are just around the corner from me but I also use the Rain X product on the outside of the screen wich do help the water bead and run up the screen and over the roof .

Which brand do you use on the INSIDE? I know Freelanders suffer from condensation issues, but isn't that course of action a tad extreme???:)

Daughter bought the Halfrauds ones for her fiesta, look and fitted ok. Took me 2mins to fit even though Halfrauds wanted £1.99 each to fit.

I use the interior Rain X for the inside of the screen along with 2 of the crystal filled box type thingies under the front seats you can get them from Wilkinson's to help keep the condensation issues to a minimum, it seems to work. The Rain X on the outside is a Godsend as I do a lot of motorway miles and does cut down a lot the use of wipers
