I have the annoying 17" alloys on my 51 plate Gaylander. They look half decent but I can't get A/Ts for them.

I have looked at the standard Gaylander steelies but imo they look bad and would make my car look 5 years older.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

"standard" steelies ?

I thought only the early low spec models had 15" steels, not seen any in 16"

I have 15" Alloys and 16" nice looking Alloys

- the best range of tyres is in the 16" rim - and that size gives you a god sized sidewall for off road(ish)

If you were willing to sort out the postage aspect yourself, i.e. arrange a courier pick-up, I'd sell you my spare set (x5 wheels) for 150 squid :)

What are the tyres like? Do you have any pics? Internet pic from Google will do.

Cheers

These are the chaps (not actual photo):

They've got various tyres on them unfortunately, but they're all 'road' tyres, as opposed to AT. I bought them about 6 months ago - they came off a '53 plate Freelander - with the intention of fitting a set of AT tyres, but never really got my finger out to do so and they've just sat in the garage. I've since bought a full set of Pirelli Scorpions for my stock 17" Trek alloys, so the 16" set are surplus now - I'm not investing another £3-400 on AT tyres after forking out £400 on the Pirellis!

I can take some actual photos if you're interested. They just need a clean really, although there a few very minot scuffs on the wheels themselves if I recall correctly.

I may be interested in these if not sold :)
