Which size Disklok steering wheel lock for a 90?

Hello all,

First time owner here. Its a 1997 90 and everyone seems to recommend a steering wheel lock/disklok as my first purchase.

The problem is which size? Looking at the website the medium is up to 41.5 cms and the large is from 41.5 cms and mine seems to measure .... 41.5 cms

Can anyone currently using one confirm if I need medium or large?

I got a large for mine which seems fine. I have a later model but I don't think the steering wheel changed much in size over the years.

For my 2010 2.4 90 TDCI I got the 42-44cm size which fits fine.

Yup, I’ve got large for my 1989 90 too. It’s got the original steering wheel.

Buying it is the easy bit. Making it a habit to always put it on takes some practice

Be careful with fitting/removal as well, it is a large & (necessarily) heavy piece of kit. It's easy to do impact damage inside the cabin, esp. when the arm decides to swing open when you are not expecting it .. ask me how I know

Get the case for it and ensure it’s secured when not in use. As mentioned, it’s heavy and will end up flying off the seat if you brake hard!

When not on the steering wheel I put mine behind the front passenger seat. It stays there quietly sandwiched between the back of the seat and the bulkhead along with its friends the road atlas and the Haynes manual. If allowed free rein it rattles about a lot when driving, sliding around the rear compartment and making alarming noises.
