this chap has caught me on the hop with this question. "Is it running on a 4 barrel carb or injection." so im not sure. its a v8 4.0 p38 1997. any help on this. :D

Never seen a Range Rover with a four barrel carb. Range Rovers have been running petrol injection for a very long time. I don't think the P38 has ever had carbs.

the guy is selling a LPG system and he took it off a 03 range rover running the BMW v8 engine. sure this is injection too.

tis is the reply i receved from him...

"You would not need the 4 barrel top hat converter (cost £100). You should go for a full LPG injection system (you will need 8x injectors, lpg ecu and injector emulators to keep the petrol ECU happy). Really you would only need the tank, filler and pipes / solenoid, you would have to sell the rest and buy the above. You could use my kit to do an open loop LPG system but I would not reccomend it on your injection engine as you might damage your Cats / lambda and yuo would probabally cause your ECU to start throwing errors" so now im stumped bet you guys arnt. :)

Me knowing as much about LPG as the queen knows about living off benifits, i cannot help but a few others will be able to. What have i said
Lizzie gets upwards of 30 million a year off us. Plus millions in housing benifit. Maybe i will have to think of another comparison next time.

I am not sure of the question. Your 97 4.0 has Lucas sagem fuel injection. If you are looking to buy an LPG kit, you need a ecu controlled sequential system. I am assuming you are not experienced with cars so I will recommend speaking to Ross at Blazegas just off the M4. They do a complete range rover specific kit with excellent install manuals.
