Which lights do I want ?

Well I've got the roof bar now so its time to pick a pair of lights to match my current set.

I've got some Cibie Oscars on the front which I want to get rid of at some point but not got the cash to do all yet. (If anyones interested make me an offer)

A pair of 150w KC DayLighters are what I currently have as surplus and they're going to go onto the roof but I'm not sure what to pair them with.


Do I go for a second set of 150w KC's to make them all match up, 9" Roo-Lights or LightForce 170 Strikers ?


Has anyone got any experience with the Roo's or LF's ? I know KC's are excellent but they're damned expensive
 
I would say go for rectangular ones and then make some shades / deflectors to sit under them so you dont get any glare from the light reflecting off the bonnet.
 
round our way is this Disco wi great big round lights up on the roof.
What looks really cool about it at night is he has low wattage blue sidelights in em.

Brave man that or he just likes being spoken to by the fuzz,

Must admit i used to have 4 8" round lights two of which were Cibie Oscars on the roof of my Baja thats how I know about the reflection lol
 
haha yeah I'm not fan of the Oscars, not bright enough for my liking :( the KC's are insanely bright at 385,000 candlepower

I might have to create a flat sheet to bolt in under the lights onto the bar like on the series roof
 
eek Just seen the prices on them led bars, though there are some guys on Pirate making there own, something I will think about for mine when it is built.
 
Decided to sell the cibies and buy the KC's and either a second set of KC's seeing as some more have come up in lower power or the LF's


So help me whittle :p

100w KC's or LF 170's not sure what power I assume they're 55's

Least I let you buy them other KC's ;) bastarding things weren't bright enough for me :( gonna have 4 150w's on the roof then 2 100's on the front

However if you buy these for £5 extra I'll throw in a set of working but damaged Wipac 8" lights, ones complete the other needs a new mount for the light cos it wouldn't come off the bullbar when I scrapped the series
