ive alredy got a 2inch lift kit but its realy sagged and i dont think its a heavy duty kit to compensate for a winch bumper and winch so the front its at least an inch lower than the rear.the kit was alredy on it when ive got it so ive got no idea ov its age or if he even got it brand new.so just looking for a new hd kit realy

I am also interested in getting a lift kit for my disco 1, heavy duty would be a bonus as I carry some weight in her. Wont be used for off orading much, nothing serious anyway.

I will be doing the odd bit of green laning and pay and play days but not the serious axle breaking stuff the mad men to :bolt:

I would only go heavy duty if I was constantly carrying weight. Alot of company's do customised springs to what you want, little more expencive but can be well worth it. The more you spend the better you'll get basically

I see, I allways have stuff in the boot wether it me tools/equipment or fishing gear or a trailer with a quad on the back!

Sound that sounds like a case for heavier duty but do you need a lift ? Do you want bigger tyres ?

I want it to look mean! more for looks than a specific reason for needing height or extra ground clearance. Looking for a snorkel yet will never go through anthing deeper than the depth of a wheel.

what companys do that.i could with a custom made kit.my disco been bobtailed but then its got a winch bumper, winch and steering guard on the front.so its lots loads ov weight at the rear and gained loads at the front.my plan was buy a heavy duty kit see how it is,if i didnt like it was guna try swopping the rear springs for some normal or light duty springs.at the mint the nose is down about inch compared to the rear and you cant even get you finger between the coils on the front spring

I think it's extreme 4x4 that do custom springs

They do , and they are very good too. Mine were about £55 each . Tell them what lift you want and what you carry and they sort the spring rates out for you, unless you know what you want. I got progressive ones too ( although I think they are actually dual rate) so you get a good ride but they stiffen up when you carry some weight

surely i shud be able to get my finger between the coils on the front springs??? the rears have over an inch between each coil.i think theve either sagged or arent heavy duty

If you have a winch you will need to go higher on the spring rates. My brother in law had a terrafirma 2 inch lift kit with normal duty springs and with a winch and bumper and a bar etc it only raised it 3/4 of an inch

ive just bought another 2 inch hd lift kit with 5 inch shocks.my plan is to fit that and see if its any difference.if its still sagging im guna try some 3 inch lift springs on the front

to be honest i think thats whats alredy on.mayb im just fussy lol but the front end is definatly down atleast an inch compared to the rear but it mite just be bcoz its been bobtailed, but i realy dont like it when the fronts down on a landie so il just have to keep messin about with it til its even lol
