Which Intercooler

Ahhhh...gotcha. The Skyline Intercooler was £150. The boost gauges I've seen are significantly less...up to £30 but quite a few around £15-20.

Been looking at gauges up to 1.5 Bar as I understand the 300Tdi generates about 1 Bar as standard and minor tweaks might give 1.25 Bar to 1.3 Bar. I'm not going for the 3 Bar digital readout the Skyline can have. ;)

Looking at the info you suggested and other sources, I'm feeling more confident about a tweak to the boost pressure, a little fuelling mod and a larger intercooler to make it all worthwhile. Not sure when...but I think it's gonna happen. :D

exc stuff. so its 1 bar then, great. will remember that. hopefully i can afford a bigger IC in the summer amounst other things! once i get my 300 that is

nah i think ur right griff

Still not sure what is meant then. A smaller but more efficient IC should be a better bet...so I'm reading...and the IC has little effect on the boost pressure. 1.2 Bar in....hopefully as close to 1.2 Bar out as possible. Like a diving cylinder...it's a rigid shape so whatever pressure you put in it stays in it with almost no deformation of the cylinder...and that's up to 300 Bar!

If I'm missing summat...let me know...it'll save me sourcing another 300 engine!!

No, but i have the distructions on how to do it. Btw, I don't do Land rovers. I lifted the big front door up once to check the oil stuff, but never again.

Furry muff. Griff has been showing me the sights and it's coming together a bit better. Not an immediate project...need to get the interior sorted better first...but I'll definitely be looking towards an upgrade in the summer. ;)
